Eucommia ulmoides Oliv/ Cortex Eucommiae
It is the dried bark of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv, and is also a
valuable Chinese herbal medicine. The main distribution areas are Zhangjiajie,Guangxi,Sichuan,Anhui,Shaanxi,Hubei, andHenan.
It has the effects of tonifying the liver and kidney, strengthening muscles and
bones, coordinating Chong and Conception Vessels, securing the menses and
quieting the fetus. It is used in treating lumbago and weakness caused by
insufficiency of kidney-Yang, ...caused by deficiency of liver Qi, and scrotal
damp itch.
