Salvia
It refers to the roots and rhizomes of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge of labiate. It is distributed in most part ofChina. It has the medicinal effects of quickening the blood, dispelling stasis, freeing the channels, relieving the pain, clearing the heart, eliminating vexation, cooling the blood, and dispersing welling-abscesses. It is mainly used in treating chest impediment, heartache, abdominal mass accumulation, heat impediment, vexation, sleeplessness, irregular menstruation, menorrhalgia, menostasis, and sores, relieving pain in the stomach duct and abdomen.
