Zhu Danxi (1281-1358), born in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, is a renowned medical expert of Yuan Dynasty in ancient China. With brilliant medical skill, he has cured many patients who don’t have to take subsequent visit (recheck) after taking his medicine. He established “Danxi school” on the basis of his medical theory, which is of great importance to the history of Chinese Medicine, and has published a number of distinguished medical works. Danxi's Mastery of Medicine, Elaboration of Bureau Prescription, A Concise Medical Book, The Exploration on Suwen’s Medical Studies, Further Discourses on the Properties of Things, A Supplement to Augmented Materia Medica and Analysis of Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Essence of External Diseases are all composed by him.
